Our favorite matte finishes:

• General Finishes High Performance Flat - This is our favorite, but is a little on the pricey side. A single pint can do several pieces of furniture. You'll need a brush or a spray gun to use this.
• Rust-Oleum Matte Clear Spray - This stuff is super cheap and works great. A single can is enough for at least one piece, depending on the size. For most folks this is the go-to.
