A real wood monitor stand,
not a plastic riser.
Most "wood-look" monitor risers are vinyl-wrapped MDF or stamped metal painted to look like timber. This is the real thing — 13-ply Baltic birch plywood, the same furniture-grade material used in high-end built-ins. It lifts your screen four inches to a comfortable eye-line, opens up storage underneath for a keyboard or notebook, and reads as warm wood instead of office-supply plastic.
Two sizes — single or dual monitor
Three edge profiles, same wood
Most monitor stands give you one shape. We offer three — pick the silhouette that matches the rest of your desk.
Plywood, not plastic or MDF
Most monitor risers in the under-$50 range are hollow plastic, stamped metal, or MDF wrapped in printed wood-look vinyl. None of those are real wood. This is 13-ply Baltic birch — thirteen thin layers of real birch veneer, cross-grained and pressed under heat. Solid all the way through, dimensionally stable, and strong enough to hold a 30-pound ultrawide without bowing.
Pairs with the Modern Desk

Monitor stand, answered
What buyers ask before clicking add to cart. The 30" stand fits a single monitor up to 27" with room beside it for a lamp or speaker. The 42" stand fits two 24" monitors side-by-side, or a single ultrawide up to 34" with comfortable margin. Both sizes handle the depth of any standard monitor base — including curved gaming monitors and iMac-style all-in-ones.
Four inches. That's the ergonomic sweet spot — high enough to bring the top of a 27" screen close to eye-level when you're seated upright, but not so tall that it forces you to crane upward. For very tall users (6'2"+), pairing it with a chair adjusted to a higher seat height gets you fully neutral.
Yes. Conservatively, around 50 lbs per stand — enough for a 30+ pound ultrawide or two standard 24" monitors with their bases. The 13-ply Baltic birch construction is structurally stronger than solid lumber at this size and won't bow even at the wider 42" length.
Rectangle has clean 90-degree edges — the most architectural of the three. Oval has softened ends and rounded corners — the most forgiving silhouette, works in almost any room. Wavy is the statement option, with a sculptural curved profile that reads as a furniture piece. All three are the same Baltic birch and same dimensions internally — only the edge profile changes.
Plywood — specifically 13-ply Baltic birch, the same furniture-grade material used in high-end built-ins. Each stand is solid all the way through (not hollow MDF or veneered particleboard), but it's engineered from layered birch veneers rather than cut from a single board. The cross-grained construction is more dimensionally stable than solid lumber, especially at the 42" length.
Yes. The stand arrives smooth-sanded and unfinished — water-based stain, oil-based stain, paint, and clear sealers all apply cleanly. If you're pairing it with our Modern Desk, the wood tones match out of the box; finish both at the same time for a seamless workspace.
