What are your products made from?
All of our products are made from sustainably sourced furniture-grade baltic birch, an incredibly strong and high quality plywood.
What kinds of finishes can I put on?
There's truly no limit. We've used paints of all types, stains of all types and various combinations. Let your imagination run wild!
What is a modular shelving system?
A modular shelving system is built from individual units that connect together — so you choose the height, width, and shape to fit your space, then reconfigure later when your needs change. Our Modular Shelf is a single-column system: stack two for a record holder or go three for a tv console. Go more if you need more!
Is this a modular bookcase or a bookshelf?
Both — a modular bookcase is just a bookshelf built from interchangeable parts. Ours works for books, plants, art, records, kitchen storage, or as a room divider. The 13-ply Baltic birch plywood holds heavy loads and won't sag like the particleboard in budget bookcases.
Can I add more modular shelves later?
Yes. The joinery is identical on every tier, so a shelf you buy today connects cleanly to a tier you order in two years. This is the main reason renters and small-space dwellers reach for modular shelving instead of a fixed bookshelf — it adapts to a new apartment, a new room, or a new collection.
What if I make a mistake. Can I redo it?
In most cases, yes! You can simply sand and put a new finish on or you can try and paint over.
How easy is it to assemble your products?
Assembly of all our products is meant to be incredibly easy and straight forward. In most cases they take just a minute.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns of up to 14 days on all unfinished products (meaning you've put no finish on it).

Love these shelves! I used them as tables for an event and as bookshelves in my house when I’m not hosting. Super easy to put together & I love the raw finish. I added a layer of matte polyurethane and they’re super easy to clean and maintain.

Came together quickly, as promised. I like the clean, minimalist look. I’m using it as a stand for a smallish tv and it’s doing the job. I also like that I could build out the area by getting multiples of this shelf if I wanted to. The only thing stopping me from giving it the fifth star is it is mildly unstable- that could be operator error on my part because I am bad at building things, but I don’t think this would be an issue at all for households without cats, as mine is constantly jumping up on it.

They’re perfect! Easy to put together and great as nightstands next to my Floyd platform bed. I finished them w a couple coats of danish oil.

I purchased these for a nook that I wanted to convert into a more open bookshelf. Liked the design, ordered it. Came on time. Super clean and easy to set up. And they look so very good.

I bought 2 of these and I’d buy 10more. They are smart and sturdy. low profile, yet provide substantial storage. We sealed with linseed oil and beeswax finish to let the natural wood shine. They look great end to end.

When I initially viewed these products online I thought they were too good to be true based on the quality aesthetic, price, and easy assembly. Here I was skeptical but proven wrong. I’m not a builder by any means but it was a joy to out this together (fast!!!) and the wood is high quality and looks fabulous. My records have the perfect perch :)

Needed something simple and low and something that can be easily assembled. This was absolutely perfect and what I had envisioned. Putting it together required a bit more elbow grease than I had imagined, haha, but 100% worth it!

Furnishing my new studio apt in a new city has been much harder than expected. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money, but I also didn’t want dorm room nostalgia decor. Thankfully, the algorithm knew! I found unfnshed and the modular shelf. I was between that and the modern, but aligning a few of the modular in a row fit my space better. It provides the book and record storage I need & gets my tv off the floor- thank god - and frankly, style for value is remarkable!! Way better than anything at the major flat pack retailer- not even comparable, like dead to me honestly. This apartment is a landing zone while i settle in a new city, i had zero intention of buying “life long” furniture for it. But I think I very much have! These shelves look great and are so easy to assemble Im absolutely sure they’ll be coming with me everywhere.
