Film it.
Your phone is fine. Assembly, paint, stain, oil, or the piece in daily use. Your hands or your face in frame. Say what you didn’t like, too.

Send the clips. Get refunded.
Raw clips within your 30 days. Once they meet the standard, we refund the order to your original payment, up to $250, within five business days.

What gets approved. What doesn’t matter.
It needs
- The actual piece, in your actual space. Not a studio, not a render.
- Your hands or your face in frame. A person, doing the thing.
- Vertical, 30 to 90 seconds. Shot on a phone is fine. Shot on a phone is preferred.
- Raw clips sent to us, not just a link to a post. We do the cutting.
- Sound. Talk us through it, or just let the room be heard.
- The honest version. If a joint fought you or the stain took three coats, say so.
It doesn’t need
- A script. We won’t send talking points.
- Followers. You don’t have to post it anywhere. Same refund either way.
- Editing. That’s our job.
- A five-star review. Approval is about the list on the left, never about what you think of us.
- Good lighting, good hair, a clean apartment.
Two hard no’s: stock footage and AI. If it didn’t happen in your home, it doesn’t qualify.
People finish these in every direction.

Who can apply?
Anyone 18 or older with a paid UNFNSHED order shipped to the continental US, applying from the email address on that order. One video per household every 12 months. If you’ve already been refunded through this program, you’ve had your turn, and thank you.
Do I have to post it?
No. Posting is optional and the refund is identical either way. Plenty of people who make great things never post anything, and we want their footage too.
If you do post it, you must say that UNFNSHED refunded your order for making the video, in the caption or on screen. That’s a Federal Trade Commission rule for anything a company compensates you for, and it’s also just the truth.
Does it have to be positive?
No. We approve videos against the standard above, never against what you say in them. If the stool wobbled or the finish took three coats, say so. Approval does not depend on your opinion, and we will never ask you to change it.
How does the refund work?
Once your clips meet the standard, we refund the product total of the order to your original payment method, up to $250, within five business days. Sales tax on the refunded amount comes back with it. Shipping was already free.
After the refund, the order is final. The piece is yours to keep and can’t be returned.
What if the month is full?
Fifteen approvals a month. If we’re full when you apply, we tell you straight and offer you a spot in the next month. Your 30-day filming window then starts from the approval, not from delivery, so you lose nothing by waiting.
What happens to my video?
You keep ownership. You give UNFNSHED a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to use, edit, and share the footage in ads, on our site, in emails, and on social. We credit you by first name and last initial, by your handle if you’d like, or not at all if you’d rather. We never sell your footage or hand it to another company.
What if my clips don’t meet the standard?
We tell you exactly what’s missing and you can re-send within your window. This is a checklist, not a talent contest. The only outright rejections are stock footage, AI-generated material, or a video that isn’t of your order.
My order has several pieces. Which one do I film?
Whichever you like, or all of them. The refund is per order and capped at $250 total, no matter how many pieces were in the box.
The fine print, all of it
- Eligibility. Open to individuals 18 or older with a paid order shipped to a continental US address. One approved video per household in any 12-month period. UNFNSHED employees and their households aren’t eligible.
- Approval first. Apply before you film. We reply within 48 hours. Footage made before approval isn’t guaranteed a refund, though we’ll still look at it.
- The refund. Product subtotal of the approved order after any discounts, capped at $250, plus the sales tax on that amount, returned to the original payment method within five business days of approval. Refunded orders are final and not returnable.
- The standard. Approval is judged only against the list in “The standard.” It never depends on the opinions expressed in the video, and we won’t ask you to change them.
- Disclosure. If you publish the video anywhere, you must clearly disclose that UNFNSHED refunded your order in exchange for it. Where we show your video as a customer review, we label it the same way.
- License. You own the footage. You grant UNFNSHED a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, edit, and share it in any medium for marketing the brand. We won’t sell it or license it to third parties. We won’t publish your last name, address, or order details.
- Spots. Fifteen approvals per calendar month. UNFNSHED may pause or end the program at any time. Applications already approved are honored.
