Is it really 15 minutes?
For a room like the one in the film, yes — several pieces at about two minutes each, plus opening boxes. A single piece takes around two.
There are genuinely no instructions?
Correct. The slots only line up one way, so the piece tells you how it goes together. If you want a walkthrough anyway, every product page has an assembly video.
Does it feel sturdy, or is it flimsy?
Baltic birch is a dense multi-ply hardwood plywood — not particleboard. The joints hold by friction and get tighter under load. A shelf full of records doesn’t wobble.
Can I carry it up myself without a car?
That’s the point of flat-packing. Every box is slim enough for one person to carry up a staircase, and it’s delivered to your door.
What does shipping cost?
Nothing — shipping is free anywhere in the continental US. Most orders arrive in a few days from our San Diego workshop.
Why is it unfinished?
Raw birch looks good as-is — and you get to pick the finish. Leave it, oil it, stain it, or paint it.
What if I don’t like it?
Free returns within 14 days. It comes apart the same way it went together, so re-boxing takes minutes.
