As the bench grows, its structure grows with it — longer tops get taller stretchers, deeper benches get broader feet, and the biggest builds add a second stretcher for stability. The joinery stays the same simple system at every size: legs and stretchers interlock, then their tabs seat in routed pockets beneath the top.

Does it come finished?

Like everything we make, your bench ships unfinished — smooth-sanded birch, ready for paint, stain, oil, or nothing at all. Here are some of our favorites.

How easy is it to assemble?
